So I took it back up to the front customer service desk. So straight talk said it’s possible it was a defective unit. It was already paid for according to the cellular specialist. Apparently to straight talk the phone is considered stolen. Went to electronics and spoke with the “cellular specialist “. She told me I would have to return it to the place of purchase to be correctly scanned. Transaction details in my capital one Walmart rewards account. And usually they won’t ring up until scanned correctly in 2 places. She told me the phone wasn’t activated/scanned correctly at the register. She asked for the IMEI and the last 4 digits of the SIM card number. After being on hold for a while I was connected with a customer service agent with very poor English. I removed the little red activation card with the IMEI and SIM card number. I tried to activate the phone online via the straight talk website. It was approved also bought a service card. I used my Walmart rewards card by capital one to purchase it. The total appeared on the screen with the name of the item. I decided on a IPhone XR from straight talk. Yesterday I went into Walmart needing a new phone.
